On a friday night just like any other I had just gotten off of work, and I had one thought on my mind, the bar. After a quick shower and change of clothing I headed to the local pub, looking for good times and new friends. Sadly enough I didn't make either. I seemed to have that problem lately, as no one I tried talking to showed any real interest in me. <br /><br />

I began to walk home through the city, walking past many dark alleyways and strangers. I wasn't scared all that much, I was still kind of down from before, because this had been the fourth or fifth time in a row I had left the bar alone with no friends gained. Deep in my lonesome sorrows I walked by another alleyway, not noticing the man standing within this one. I almost didn't hear him call out to me, his voice was almost a whisper. I turned and asked him what he wanted, and he asked why I looked so lonesome. I explained my rotten luck with people lately, and before I could finish, he explained that he may have a solution for my problem. Curious, I asked what he had in mind, and as soon as the words left my lips, he stretched out his arm and laid his hand out flat. In his hand he held a strange looking trinket, it looked like a magnification piece. He told me to take it, and to wear it the next time I was around people. I took the trinket, and as I inspected it I began to ask the strange man what his intentions were, and when my eyes left the trinket in search for the man, he was gone. I placed the trinket in my pocket and walked home, not trying to think all too much about what had just happened. <br /><br />

After another week of work was over, it was time to hit the bars again. Hoping to at least make a new friend or two, I put the trinket on and made my way to the pub. I walked in the door, and the night that followed was one of the best nights of my life! It seemed like everyone wanted to be around me; all the guys wanted to be my friend while all the girls hung on my every word. I was the life of the pub! When I left I had so many new numbers in my phone I wasn't going to attempt to count them. Needless to say my confidence was through the roof, and now you can know what that feels like!
