NORWEGIAN DISCOVERY
About 3 years ago I was visiting my grandfather in Norway, the land of my ancestors. I had not seen him for quite some time so I thought it was high time I made my way over there. Arriving in Norway was always a fascinating experience, and this time was no different. All the signs written in Norwegian, the people speak such a wonderful and interesting language. (Norwegian, obviously) The people are extremely kind and very well mannered which makes it very hard to believe this used to be the land of the vikings.

I arrived at my grandfather's house in Oslo in the afternoon, and as soon as I had knocked on the door I was greeted with a hug and smile. It made me feel good that my grandfather was as happy to see me as I was to see him. I went inside after saying my hello, and we began telling each other stories of our vastly different lands. About 20 minutes into conversation, I was telling him about my job, and all of the strange things we encounter. As I told him this his eyes lit up, and soon after I had finished speaking he asked me if he could show me something. Of course I said yes, and I followed him to his room.

Once in his room he walked over to his end table and opened a drawer. I picked something up out of the drawer and walked over to me. He explained to me that it was a gift, and dropped it into my hands. It was a unique piece and just by holding it in my hands I felt a strange warmth come over me. After examining it a little longer, I put it on, and felt the same warmth overtake me. I asked him what the piece was supposed to do, and he then told me the history. He believed the item was blessed by an old Norse priest, who bestowed it with the power of undying warmth, and the strength to carry on through anything; to strength to never give up. I was amazed at how warm I was, and I did feel greatly determined but I didn't know for what. I thanked my grandfather, and for the rest of my visit I wore the ring, as Norway is a cold place most of the time.

Upon my return to America, I brought the piece in to be observed by the others at Haunted Curiosities. They too were shocked to feel the rings power over the body and mind. I explained to them what my grandfather had told me, and after a little research we found that rings like this were used in the old days of Scandinavia, and they were given to the vikings to keep them warm in the cold climate, and to help them overcome in battle. This ring is a powerful piece indeed, and it's power can be used by anyone. Stay warm while overcoming the trials of the day while wearing this ring, and may the gods be with you!
