Not long ago, DeeDee was on one of her exciting investigations, and dropped by to catch up and have a cup of tea. We sipped and spoke fondly of our friends and family, magics, and the state of the world. Sadly, we were in agreement over the dismal state of things globally. I have a hereditary lineage of European rootworking, and have spent the better part of the past 25 years incorporating traditional Hoodoo into my practice. LA SANTISIMA MUERTE Much has been written about the beautiful Santisima Muerte. She is the embodiment of the cycle of life, also known as the Holy Death, or the White Lady. Neither of the light nor the dark, She is the power death and life, the shadow side of the Virgin Mary, through whom the seed of life mysteriously grew. Santisima Muerte demands respect, and this loving spirit is good to those that venerate and show devotion to her as their patron. She has been called difficult to work with, and can be vengeful to those that are faithless. Those that work with Santisima Muerte understand and commit to her requirements. I work with the Beautiful Lady many times per day. My faith in her is strong and lasting. I have seen the miracles that she can produce for those that love her. I have also seen the havoc created with those that take her lightly. Petitions to Santisima Muerte should be done only by those very familiar with her.
